Once you get a perfectly merged panorama images, there are still a lot of optimization and improvements can be made. For different purpose one may need to do the retouching, revision and sometime manipulation of the panorama. Since the 2D panorama images used to be programmed into 3D panoram flashes needs certain distortions to enusre a perfect 3D view at the end, therefore the retouching for panorama is not done in the same way as one normally does retouching with Photoshop. Special tools, programs and knowhows are needed for a professional panorama retouching. To get a perfect panorama, either one has to be able to do the panorama photography in a very professional quality, or one need professional retouching service to optimize the panorama images, such as:
- The overall optimization of the panorama image. Light, contrast, exposures, saturations can all be adjusted. a panorama image optimized by a professional will be look totally different from the original panorama.
- Detail retouching of cerntain parts of the the panorma, i.e. faces, highlights of the building etc.
- Manipulations of the panorama images, replacing cloudy sky with blue sky, even changing and montaging new elements into the panorama images.
- Adding logos, explainations as needed into the panorama images.
- and more creative things that you can think of...

1. In case the original photos were taken in poor light condition and sometime with amateur shooting skills. It makes a lot of sense to retouch and beautify the panorama.
