Photo stitching and merging

The first step of making virtual tours is to stitch and merge the photos that you have taken into a panorama image, professional panorama photos taken with professional panorama hardwares and cameras can be easily merged with photo merging software programs into perfect panorama images. However, for the unprofessionally taken pictures the software program will normally not be able to stitch the photos seamlessly together, therefore manual adjustment are very important and requires special knowhow to ensure:

1. seamless photo stitching (see examples below for a comparison of automatically programmed panorama image and manual stitched panorama, based on non-professional photo materials)

2. harmonizing the discrepancies of the light, contrast between the photos taken. Due to the fact that the photos are sometimes taken in different lighting circumstance, which results in different exposure etc. of different photos. Merging the photos seamlessly is just the first step of stitching, harmonizing the merged photos is key to have perfect panorama.

After the photos are perfectly stitched and merged into panorama images, we will then program the panorama into a virtual tour for you as final product. Of course if you have extra needs for retouching, manipulating and optimizing, please refer to our panorama photos retouching services.

Since the 2D panorama images used to be programmed into 3D panorama flashes need certain distortions to enusre a perfect 3D view at the end, therefore photo stitching for panorama is not simple photo collage in Photoshop. Special tools, programs and knowhows are needed for a professional panorama retouching.
